BOOX Unveils Picco, a 3.97″ Card-Sized ePaper Device in Its All-New Tiles Lineup.

A card-sized ePaper device that turns life’s small pauses into focused, distraction-free reading moments.

BOOX, a leading innovator in ePaper technology, has recently introduced the Picco, the first release in its brand-new Tiles product category—a new branch of lifestyle companions and novelties, opening a fresh dimension beyond the classic BOOX Tablets. As the first in this lineup, Picco is a tiny 3.97″ ePaper device built for short-burst reading during daily downtime. It features an ink-crisp ePaper screen with built-in front lights, combines touchscreen and physical button controls, and brings a kind of pocket fun with a range of playful features. The Picco is now available to pre-order from $99.99 at the official BOOX Shop.

At only 3.97 inches and 58 grams, Picco is roughly the size of a playing card and incredibly light to carry everywhere. It fits naturally into life’s pauses, like waiting in line or at a coffee pickup, and transforms those scattered minutes into focused reading sessions instead of mindless scrolling. For a streamlined everyday carry setup, it comes with a dedicated magnetic case, so users can snap the device onto the back of their phone to travel as one.

BOOX Picco delivers an eye-comfort viewing experience in any light, with a 235 PPI monochrome ePaper display. Utilizing anti-aliasing to smooth out fine text, it renders every word crisp and clean. The built-in front lights allow users to adjust brightness and color temperature, ensuring comfortable reading from bright sunlight to dark bedrooms. For added flexibility, a customizable physical Function Switch enables toggling of the front lights or dark reading mode with a simple flick.

Complementing its high-quality display, Picco provides deep customization options built around diverse reading habits. It’s compatible with a wide variety of document formats and allows easy fine-tuning of fonts, margins, and line spacing. For intuitive control, Picco supports both touchscreen and physical page-turn buttons, along with four-way screen rotation to match any grip style. Out of the box, Picco includes a 16GB microSD card (supports up to 2TB) to effortlessly store thousands of books, and offers frictionless file transfers through the BOOX Tiles app, web browser, or direct USB-C connection.

BOOX Picco is an ideal choice for avid readers, commuters, and anyone who wants to read more without adding bulk or being overwhelmed by digital distractions. With its card-sized frame, eye-friendly ePaper display, and lightweight ecosystem, it is a delightful everyday accessory that makes reading a pleasure again.

The Picco is now available to pre-order from $99.99 at the official BOOX Shop.
