Samsung Display has unveiled a 77-inch QD-OLED TV capable of reaching 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The company showcased the new panel ahead of CES 2026, calling it the world’s brightest self-emissive display. The QD-OLED panel achieves its brightness by combining the peak luminance of each RGB component. Samsung says this approach improves color purity and delivers higher perceptual brightness compared to OLED panels that rely on white subpixels.

The panel also supports AI-based image optimization, allowing TVs to automatically adjust picture quality depending on content and environment. Samsung plans to use this new-generation panel in its high-end OLED TVs launching in 2026.
At CES, Samsung Display will also demonstrate a wide range of AI-powered OLED concepts. The company will exhibit the AI OLED Bot, a small robot with a 13.4-inch OLED display that functions as a teaching assistant. Other concept devices include the AI OLED Turntable and AI OLED Cassette, speaker systems with circular OLED panels that recommend music and display visual content in real time.

Samsung Display has set up a dedicated durability zone at the exhibition. In one test area, a robotic arm throws basketballs at 18 foldable OLED panels mounted on a board. The panels remain fully functional after repeated impacts. Another test drops steel balls on foldable displays to compare their resilience with other screen technologies.
In the automotive space, Samsung will show off new cockpit concepts. These include an 18.1-inch flexible L-shaped center display, a hidden passenger screen, and OLED tail lamps capable of displaying live road alerts to vehicles behind.
Samsung Display is also showcasing its RGB OLEDoS microdisplay, featuring 5,000 PPI in a 1.4-inch panel. The company has integrated the panel into a headset demo to highlight potential use in future XR devices.
CES 2026 runs from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas.
In related news, LG is set to debut its Gallery TV, a frame style art television, at CES 2026, while TCL has launched the A400 Pro QD Mini LED Art TV with 4K 144Hz and AI art generation features.
