Redmi’s Note 15 series has arrived on the global stage, and as you’d expect, it’s a bit confusing. You’ve got the Redmi Note 15, the Redmi Note 15 5G, the Redmi Note 15 Pro, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G (the star of this article), and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. Let’s unbox the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and then we’ll explore how it differs from the non-5G Pro. The phone ships with a full retail package. You get a 45W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a grey silicone case, and the phone.

Ours is the Titanium Color model, and you can also get the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G in Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Black.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has the largest battery in the series at 6,580mAh. However, the other two Pro models (non-5G and Pro+ 5G) are both 6,500mAh, which isn’t a big gap! Chaging maxes out at 45W.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is the least curvy among the Note 15 Pro models. Both its front and rear panels are very lightly sloped at the very edge. The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G are both more curved both at the front and the back. It’s noticeable in the hand as well – the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is like most recent flagships in the hand with a flat frame and matching flat glass panels.

Like the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, the Pro 5G has the largest display in the series at 6.83 inches. Though compared to the 6.77-inch display on the other models, the difference isn’t noticeable. Like the other two Pro Redmis, the Pro 5G’s display is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Something the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G shares only with the Pro+ 5G is the added durability. Both phones support IP66/68/69/69K, compared to just IP 65 on the Redmi Note 15 Pro.

Finally, the chipset in charge of the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra. It’s paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and you have a choice between 256GB and 512GB of storage.
