The latest Android device maker to announce it’s bringing support for Apple’s AirDrop to Quick Share is Xiaomi. The brand has unveiled the news on X using the account for HyperOS, its Android skin.
AirDrop is now available on Quick Share.

As you can see, Xiaomi says AirDrop support is now available in Quick Share on its devices, but it’s unclear if it’s all devices or just specific ones. Of course, if you have a Xiaomi phone and an Apple device of some sort, it’s pretty easy to try – share anything on the Xiaomi handset and the Apple device should be shown in the Quick Share menu.
We do have a feeling that this might require a HyperOS update, though, since that’s how it’s been implemented by other Android device makers in recent times. And if that’s the case, then it might take a while for this to roll out to every Xiaomi device out there.
