The Realme 16T combines a massive 8,000mAh battery with a reasonably-specced base for an affordable price – starts at INR29,999 (around €270, converted).
Realme says you can expect up to three days of endurance, and that the power pack would last for 7 years, which would give frugal-minded buyers some nice peace of mind.
We finished our battery life and charging tests on the Realme 16T, so let’s see how it did.
The Realme 16T scored close to 23 hours in our Active Use Score, which breaks down with solid call, web, and video runtimes, and a respectable gaming score.

We got nearly 50 hours of calling from the 16T, then close to 26 hours of browsing, and a hair under 25 hours of video playback. The web score is truly impressive, outpacing the likes of the 8,500mAh-touting Poco X8 Pro Max. Of course, that phone needs to push more display pixels during browsing.
The 720p display resolution of the Realme 16T no doubt helped it in our video playback test as well.
Next up, it’s the charging test. Being a phone that’s focused on being a great bang-for-buck proposition, it’s at a disadvantage against its competitors in this test.
While phones with similar battery capacities match them with impressive charging speeds, the Realme 16T goes as high as 45W.

And, understandably, it doesn’t shine in our charging speed test. It only gets to 19% in the first 15 minutes, and to 34% in half an hour. The 8,000mAh battery took an hour and a half to get to full.
